Bridging Friendship Through Music, Embarking on a Sister-city Journey | 2025 Vienna Danube International Music Festival Successfully Held in Wiener Neustadt

The 2025 Vienna Danube International Music Festival was grandly held in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, from August 4 to 8, 2025. Jointly invited by the Wiener Neustadt Municipal Government and the Austrian Chinese Musicians Association (ACMA), the event welcomed a teenage music delegation from Ningbo, the sister city of Wiener Neustadt, for an in-depth cultural and musical exchange.

Outstanding young musicians from five major art education institutions in Ningbo participated in the festival, including Ningbo Municipal Youth & Children’s Palace, Haishu District Youth & Children’s Palace, Shanghai Conservatory of Music Ningbo Experimental School, Ningbo Experimental Art School and Ningbo No.2 Experimental Art School. Young performers from China and Austria staged wonderful joint performances, communicating and bonding through music. The integration of Chinese and Western melodies showcased the unique charm of diverse cultures and the excellent artistic temperament of Chinese teenagers.

As a professional platform dedicated to Sino-Austrian artistic and cultural exchanges, ACMA has long been committed to promoting people-to-people connectivity and cultural mutual learning between the two countries via music. Taking this sister city exchange opportunity, the festival further consolidated the foundation of Sino-Austrian folk cultural exchanges and added a brilliant artistic chapter to the friendly cooperation between Ningbo and Wiener Neustadt.
